The categories view allows you to organize your chinese characters into logical groups. The default dictionary contains categories named Level 1 through 12. Another way you can use categories
is to group characters into classes, such as fruits, cities, etc. You can add and delete categories using the "Categories" menu. Another quick way to add items to a category is to select the category
from the top list and the select the chinese words from the dictionary view and drag them to the bottom list of the categories view. This drag and drop feature has been implemented to speed the creation
of categories. Categories are also useful for flash cards and quizzes, it helps you to group the chinese characters into sets that you are learning at a specific time.
